Description
The Kentucky Department of Education is seeking a Management Improvement Consultant to provide financial management services to school districts. The consultant will conduct management reviews, monitor districts with financial emergencies, and perform other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have experience with financial and recordkeeping applications used by school districts, knowledge of district funding sources, and understanding of procurement rules and financial preparation and reporting methods.
Key responsibilities include:
• Conducting management reviews in areas such as financial management, school facilities, and technology
• Monitoring districts with declared or impending financial emergencies
• Providing assistance and reviewing financial reports as needed
• Assisting with audits and conducting training sessions
• Serving as a resource to department staff
