Notice of Intent - Thermo Electron North America, LLC (Unity Labs) EMA for the Thermo Q-Exactive HF LCMSMS

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to award a sole source contract to Thermo Electron North America, LLC (Unity Labs) for a one-year repair and preventive maintenance service agreement for the laboratory's Thermo Q-Exactive HF LCMSMS. The agreement will include one annual preventative maintenance visit, unlimited phone, email, and remote support sessions, all parts, site labor, zone charges, and per diem charges, software bug fixes, and a 90-day warranty for all parts and services. The EPA's Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention needs this agreement to maintain the spectrometer, which plays a critical role in systems biology and is used for diagnostic tests, novel drug therapies, personalized medicine, and understanding of infectious diseases, cancer, and metabolic disorders. • The contract is for a one-year period. • The agreement includes one annual preventative maintenance visit. • The contractor will provide unlimited phone, email, and remote support sessions. • All parts, site labor, zone charges, and per diem charges are included. • Software bug fixes for the Thermo Q-Exactive HF LCMSMS user interface software and applications software are included. • The initial service response time is not to exceed 4 business hours. • The onsite service response time will not exceed 2 business days after all remote diagnostic sessions have been exhausted.
