Swimming Pool Maintenance Services at LSSLC

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking competitive bids for Swimming Pool Maintenance Services at the Lufkin State Supported Living Center. The required services include monthly, weekly, and as-needed maintenance of the swimming pool and fountain, including checking the overall appearance, pool levels, disinfectant residual, vacuum pumps, debris trap, pressure and vacuum gages, rate of flow indicators, filters, storage tanks, and air systems. The Contractor will be responsible for ensuring that the overall maintenance of the pool and fountain is kept to the highest quality and to include all necessary materials and equipment for all tasks stated. Some key responsibilities include: • Checking the pool and fountains overall appearance • Checking pool and fountain water level and adding water if needed • Checking pool disinfectant residual and testing pH of the pool • Cleaning all surfaces of the pool and fountain if necessary • Vacuuming the pool and fountain • Cleaning debris trap on the pool and pumps • Inspecting pool equipment for broken pipes, unusual noises, electrical issues • Replacing filters, if necessary • Shocking the pool, if necessary • Replacing pool light, motors, feed motors, vacuum circulation, if necessary The contract term may include renewal or extension periods, and the Contractor shall perform contracted services Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Central Time).
