Calibration & Certification of Gas Sniffers

The County of Orange, OC Public Works, is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the calibration and certification of gas sniffers, atmospheric detectors, and confined space monitoring equipment. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, tools, replacement parts, equipment, and certification required for the services. The services will be provided on an as-needed basis as required by the County, and the contractor will be responsible for responding to service calls to County Pump Stations at various locations throughout the County. The contract will be valid for 120 days after the IFB closing date, and the County reserves the right to request a sample for determining equality with the specified brand. Some key points include: • Calibration and certification of gas sniffers, atmospheric detectors, and confined space monitoring equipment • Installation of new fixed-point/in-place atmospheric/gas detection systems • Inspection, assessment, maintenance, and repair of existing and new installations of fixed-point/in-place atmospheric/gas detection systems • Replacement of defective and faulty equipment and handheld devices • Supply of calibration gas as needed to the County • Compliance with NPDES requirements and OSHA Confined Space safety standards • Background and security checks for all personnel engaged in the performance of the work • Health and safety requirements for all personnel • Identification and conduct requirements for all personnel • Supervision and training requirements for all personnel
