Relief Vehicle for CyRide

The City of Ames is seeking bids for a new small sport utility vehicle (SUV) or crossover utility vehicle for the Ames Transit Agency, dba CyRide. The vehicle should be a 2026 model year, new, and have specific features such as hybrid propulsion, all-wheel drive, automatic transmission, and red exterior color. The vehicle will be used for administrative travel and driver switching on-route. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and make awards in the best interest of the city. • The vehicle must have a certified service center within 20 miles of Ames, Iowa. • The vehicle must have a 100% parts, labor, and shipping warranty for all warranty items. • The vehicle must have specific features such as power windows, power door locks, and ABS brakes. • The vehicle must have a seating capacity of 5 and all-season tires. • The vehicle must have a radio with AM/FM and internal clock, as well as Bluetooth capability.
