Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract on a sole source basis to Beckman Coulter, Inc. for full-service maintenance of lab analyzers. The contractor shall provide service coverage for all medical devices listed under the “Equipment Listing” in accordance with VA and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. Services to be performed include repairs, preventative maintenance, calibrations, defective part replacement, and other support services required to maintain equipment performance and safety. Key requirements include:
• The contractor must be OEM-trained and certified engineers or technicians
• All work must be performed in full compliance with applicable manufacturer specifications, codes, and standards
• Maintenance and repairs must be performed in accordance with OEM specifications
• All replacement parts must be certified new and sourced from the original manufacturer
• The contractor must provide all labor, transportation, expertise, tools, test equipment, and materials necessary to perform the specified services
