Description

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory seeks a single FDG‑150 floating ion source package for its ultra‑high‑vacuum beamline. The scope includes an ion source delivering >5 µA at 5 keV and >10 nA at 10 eV, an electrostatic lens with 0.2 mm spot size and a 10 × 10 mm² scan area, remote TCP/IP control compatible with EPICS, and mechanical integration to a CF2.75″ UHV flange with differential pumping. The award will be based on the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) method and lead‑time, with no on‑site services permitted. Vendors must submit price and lead‑time quotation by the response deadline, provide HTS and ECCN codes if applicable, certify Buy American compliance for unit prices over $15,000, and complete required representations and certifications.

Budget estimate

$75,000 – $150,000

No explicit contract value is disclosed. The Buy American Act applies to unit prices over $15,000, indicating the item is likely priced above that threshold. Similar scientific instrumentation packages typically range from $75 k to $150 k, depending on specifications and lead‑time. Therefore the anticipated award value is estimated between $75,000 and $150,000.
