Description
Rowan University is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive elevator, escalator and lift maintenance, repair, and preventive‑maintenance services for all of its campuses. The contract will cover routine inspections, emergency and non‑emergency response, parts replacement, and compliance with safety and training standards. The award will be a one‑year firm‑fixed‑price agreement with two optional one‑year renewals, beginning July 1 2026. The vendor must submit “not‑to‑exceed” hourly rates inclusive of labor, benefits, travel, insurance and profit, and must meet extensive New Jersey statutory, insurance and prevailing‑wage requirements.
• Full‑service maintenance & repair of all elevators, escalators and lifts across multiple campuses
• 1‑hour emergency response and 4‑hour non‑emergency response times
• Detailed preventive‑maintenance schedule (monthly‑annual tasks)
• Mandatory confined‑space and LOTO training for all personnel
• “Not‑to‑exceed” flat‑hourly pricing, with penalties for missed monthly service obligations
