Description

The Puyallup Watershed Irrigation Efficiencies Project aims to select a contractor with experience in electrical installations for irrigation systems. The contractor will assist Pierce County in purchasing and installing six variable frequency drives (VFDs) and required ancillary equipment on existing agricultural irrigation systems. The project has two parts: equipment purchase and installation, and irrigation system testing and training. The contractor must provide on-site hands-on operator training and ensure that the VFDs are installed and programmed according to prepared design sheets. • The contractor must have documented experience with electrical-irrigation systems and the ability to follow design sheets with site-specific electrical specifications. • The contractor must provide equipment purchases, on-site installations, and programming as necessary, as well as invoices and supporting descriptions for all labor and materials. • The contractor must also provide irrigation system testing and training, including on-site testing and operator training for each VFD-modified irrigation system. • The project has a tentative timeline, with equipment purchases and installations expected to be completed by December 4th, 2026, and irrigation system testing and training expected to be completed by December 11th, 2026.
