Backflow Preventers

The City of Norfolk is seeking a responsible vendor to provide backflow preventers according to the terms, conditions, and specifications of this solicitation. The contractor shall provide Watts 2” model # LF009M2-QT-FS on an as-needed basis over a period of five years. The estimated quantity is expected to range between 50 to 75 units per year. Key aspects of the job include: * Providing backflow preventers on an as-needed basis * Delivering the specified quantity of units within 10 calendar days of receipt of notification * Warranting all units against manufacturer defects for a minimum of 12 months * Maintaining insurance coverage, including commercial general liability, worker's compensation, and automobile liability insurance * Complying with non-discrimination requirements and federal immigration law * Providing certification regarding debarment, suspension, and other responsibility matters * Participating in cooperative procurement and providing opportunities for small, women-owned, and minority businesses.
