Description
The Rankin County Board of Supervisors is soliciting bids for semi-annual term bids for asphalt for the period of July 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026. The bids should include the supplying of all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for cold milling of bituminous paving, plant mix bituminous base course, hot bituminous pavement, surface course, ultra-thin asphalt pavement, crack sealing, and bituminous surface and base mixtures to be placed on public roads in Rankin County. The contractor shall have a minimum of 5 years' experience placing hot mix asphalt.
• The asphalt material shall meet the requirements of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction.
• The contractor shall provide a storage tank with a minimum size of 4000 gallons for storing tack coat material.
• The contractor shall submit a firm bid amount for each of the 13 items listed in the bid form.
• The bid price shall be guaranteed for the period of July 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026.
