Safety Shower and Eyewash Corrections Phase 1

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from contractors to correct safety shower and eyewash deficiencies in multiple locations across multiple buildings on the NIST Boulder Campus. The contractor will provide design-build construction effort to bring the existing eyewash and shower combination units into compliance with ANSI Z358.1-2014. The project includes three buildings: Building 22, Building 25, and Building 2. The contractor will provide professional architectural and engineering services to deliver a complete design-build solution, including construction plans and specifications, and will test the fixtures before and after the work is completed. The contractor will also provide a safety plan and comply with NIST's safety requirements. • The project includes the installation of new tempered water loops and connections to existing safety fixtures. • The contractor will provide a construction schedule and phasing plan. • The contractor will provide a quality control plan and comply with NIST's quality control requirements. • The contractor will provide safety-related training to contractor personnel. • The contractor will comply with NIST's security requirements and obtain the necessary identification badges.
