Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking quotes for biosafety cabinets for the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System. The requirement includes two 5' Cell, Class II, Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinets with specific features such as electrical compatibility, service fixtures, and UV light. The cabinets must also come with a universal hydraulic base stand, stainless shelf, cord management system, pipette rack, magnetic waste bag holder, and pipette aid holder. The contractor must deliver the equipment to the research building at Sioux Falls VA Medical Center within 90-120 days after award. The contract includes a 1-year warranty or the manufacturer's warranty, whichever is greater. Key features of the biosafety cabinets include:
• Electrical must be compatible with a 115V / 50/60 Hz / connection
• Must have service fixtures on the right side of the BSC
• Must provide at least a 5” full color touchscreen display at a minimum
• Must provide a UV light to the biosafety cabinet work area (internal) which is only operational when the sash is closed
• Must have a right and left side Vacu-Pass portals
• Must have supply & exhaust to the room with HEPA filtration
• Exterior dimensions no larger than 66.4” x 61.9” x 32” (WxHxD)
• Interior work surface at least 60.5” x 32” x 25.7” (WxHxD)
