Description
The United States Air Force is seeking a contractor to provide full-service maintenance, repair, and inspection of Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) units at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. The contract will be for a base year with four option years. The contractor will be responsible for performing monthly preventive maintenance, routine repairs, and emergency service calls, as well as maintaining a minimum 98% overall VTE availability rate. The contractor must also comply with all applicable codes and regulations, including the ASME A17.1 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators.
Some key requirements of the contract include:
* Monthly preventive maintenance and routine repair
* Execution of all required safety tests, including annual and 5-year certifications
* Emergency response times of 2 hours for on-duty emergencies and 3 hours for off-duty emergencies
* Maintenance of a minimum 98% overall VTE availability rate
* Compliance with all applicable codes and regulations, including the ASME A17.1 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators
