Description
The State of Missouri is seeking a vendor to provide janitorial services for a state-leased building in Alton, Missouri. The building has approximately 4,491 square feet and is occupied by 7 full-time employees and 35 visitors per week. The vendor will be required to provide evening janitorial services, 5 days a week, excluding state holidays. The services will include daily, weekly, monthly, and semi-annual tasks such as trash removal, floor cleaning, glass surface cleaning, and restroom disinfection. The vendor must have at least 2 years of experience providing janitorial services for office buildings with a minimum of 4,491 square feet. The contract will be for a period of 1 year, with the option for the state agency to add or delete buildings or areas at any time during the term of the contract.
Some key responsibilities of the vendor include:
* Providing all necessary equipment, supplies, and labor to perform the required services
* Ensuring that all services are performed in a consistent and satisfactory manner
* Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for the building's occupants
* Providing a contact person who can communicate and act on behalf of the vendor
* Ensuring that all subcontractors, if used, meet the same requirements as the vendor.
The state agency will evaluate the vendor's proposal based on factors such as experience, pricing, and compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
* Daily tasks: emptying trash, cleaning glass surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, and cleaning kitchens and break rooms.
* Weekly tasks: washing and disinfecting wastebaskets, cleaning restroom walls, and cleaning light switches and doorknobs.
* Monthly tasks: damp mopping and machine scrubbing floors, cleaning glass surfaces, and cleaning light fixtures.
* Semi-annual tasks: deep carpet cleaning, machine scrubbing ceramic floor areas, and stripping and refinishing finished floors.
