RWIS Remote Processor Components

The Iowa Department of Management (DOM) on behalf of the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking replacement components for Lufft Road Weather Information System (RWIS) sensor processing units. The contract is expected to begin on April 1, 2026, and end on March 31, 2028. The DOT currently owns 79 full-size RWIS stations, and each station is managed by a Processing Unit that collects sensor data from multiple connected sensors and responds to communication requests from the central polling server. The successful bidder will be required to provide directly compatible replacement components for the Lufft LCOM Processing Units. • The contract term will be 24 months. • The contract may be renewed with a price adjustment. • The bidder must provide a minimum of one year or manufacturer's warranty on all bid items. • The bidder must submit a detailed quarterly report of all sales made under the contract. • The bidder must pay a 1.00% Administrative Fee on all sales made against this contract. • The State of Iowa requires shipping to be FOB Destination, Freight Prepaid.
