Description
The State of California’s Employment Development Department is seeking a qualified contractor to provide mobile on‑site confidential document destruction (shredding) services for more than 80 EDD facilities throughout the Southern California region. The contractor must supply two industrial shredding trucks, collect and shred locked security bins on‑site in the presence of an EDD witness, and furnish certificates of destruction for each service visit. All work must comply with NAID shredding standards, stringent background‑check requirements, and California insurance and security mandates.
• Mobile shredding trucks (≥ 3,500 lb/hr) with on‑site power source
• Collection, on‑site shredding, and certified destruction of 64‑gal security bins at each location
• Mandatory background checks, NAID certification, $1 M insurance limits, and strict confidentiality/indemnity clauses
• Billing on a per‑bin‑tip basis with monthly invoicing and detailed receipts
• Contract period Dec 1 2026 – Nov 30 2029 (3‑year term) with potential small‑business/DVBE incentives
