Services of Instructors to Facilitate an Online Professional Learning Course Offered by the Maryland Virtual Professional Learning Opportunities (MVPLO) Program

The Maryland State Department of Education is seeking instructors to facilitate online professional learning courses for the Maryland Virtual Professional Learning Opportunities (MVPLO) Program. The courses will be taught online, and instructors will be responsible for monitoring and reporting participant performance, communicating with participants and the MSDE online professional learning specialist, and participating in MVPLO faculty activities. Instructors must have a minimum of three years of PreK-12 experience teaching at the level and in the content area to be facilitated, as well as previous experience teaching face-to-face and/or PreK-12 professional learning courses and workshops. • Key responsibilities: teaching online courses, monitoring participant performance, communicating with participants and MSDE staff • Required qualifications: 3+ years of PreK-12 teaching experience, experience with online learning management systems • Desired qualifications: experience with special education, knowledge of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and STEM
