The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole-source contract to EARTH SMART ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS, LLC for hazardous waste collection and disposal services at the Illiana Health Care System in Danville, IL. The contract is expected to be awarded under the authority of VAAR 819.7008, which allows for sole-source awards to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The scope of work includes the collection and disposal of hazardous waste. • The contract will be awarded to a certified/verified SDVOSB. • The anticipated award price of the contract will not exceed $5 million. • The requirement is synopsized and the required justification pursuant to FAR 6.302-5(c)(2)(ii) is posted in accordance with FAR part 5. • The SDVOSB has been determined to be a responsible contractor with respect to performance. • The contract award can be made at a fair and reasonable price that offers best value to the Government.
