Description
Rowan County is seeking proposals from qualified firms to design, engineer, fabricate, and install two custom electric train locomotives with three passenger coaches each for the Dan Nicholas Park amusement attraction. The trains must meet specific safety and accessibility standards, including ADA compliance. The selected applicant will be responsible for providing a minimum one-year warranty and possibly ongoing maintenance support. The proposal should include a detailed description of the company's capability to complete the project, a timeline, and a breakdown of costs.
• The trains must be designed to operate on a G24 scale track and meet specific safety standards, including ASTM International standards.
• The proposal must include renderings or pictures of the locomotives and coaches, as well as a minimum of three references from similar projects.
• The applicant must provide a minimum one-year warranty and extended warranty options.
• The trains must be delivered to Dan Nicholas Park in Salisbury, NC by May 21, 2026.
