Virginia Tech is seeking a qualified vendor to take full responsibility for the administration, operation, maintenance, and expansion of its university‑wide bicycle rental program, known as Gobbler Gears. The contractor will manage daily bike rentals, oversee fleet upkeep, develop growth strategies, and ensure the system meets student and staff mobility needs. This includes software platform management, station logistics, marketing, and customer service support. • Administer the existing Gobbler Gears bike‑share system and handle all day‑to‑day operations. • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and lifecycle management of the bicycle fleet. • Design and implement expansion plans to increase station coverage and improve service quality across campus. • Provide reporting, data analytics, and user support to enhance program performance.
