Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is seeking a contractor to fabricate Nickel Aluminum Bronze (NAB) devices in multiple configurations for the Virginia-Class propulsor manufacturing program. The contractor will be responsible for machining piece parts, including body tubes, top caps, bottom caps, and masses, in accordance with the provided references and specifications. The contractor will also be required to perform engineering services, inspection, and testing, and provide deliverables such as First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and Certificates of Conformance. The contract will be awarded based on a best-value tradeoff evaluation, considering factors such as technical capability, past performance, and cost.
• The contractor must have experience with machining and fabrication of complex metal components.
• The contractor must be able to meet the delivery schedule and provide partial shipments as required.
• The contractor must have a quality control program in place to ensure compliance with the specifications and requirements.
• The contractor must be able to provide engineering services, including design review and design change incorporation.
• The contractor must be able to perform inspection and testing, including dimensional inspection and material certification.
