Emergency Housing Development in Ulster County

Ulster County is seeking proposals for the development of multiple small-scale emergency housing shelters in Ulster County, with a focus on ensuring stability for families and children attending school in the County. The goal is to locate new emergency family shelters that allow families with children to remain near their home school districts and ensure every unhoused family in Ulster County has access to a safe local shelter. Funds made available through this RFP are focused on supporting early-stage feasibility, site identification, design, and local approvals. Awardees are expected to pursue New York State and other external capital or grant funding sources, including HHAP, for acquisition and construction.
