Description
The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is seeking proposals for a contract to support adults who will volunteer to spend their time mentoring older foster youth, ages nine to seventeen, to help them find a permanent family or a permanent connection. The goal of this project is to provide mentorship and support to foster youth, and the selected organization will be responsible for implementing this program. Key aspects of the job include:
• Recruiting and training mentors
• Matching mentors with foster youth
• Providing ongoing support and supervision to mentors and foster youth
• Evaluating the effectiveness of the program
