Description
Dane County is seeking an insurance carrier (or carriers) to provide group short‑term and/or long‑term disability coverage for approximately 2,600 county employees. The contract will begin May 1 2027, run for an initial one‑year term with optional renewals up to five years, and requires the vendor to administer claims from investigation through payment, offer both “LTD Only” and “STD/LTD” plan options, and meet extensive data‑security, insurance‑coverage, and compliance requirements. The award will be based on a scoring rubric that includes cost, past performance, and service capability, with possible oral presentations for top‑ranked bidders.
