Description
The City of Somers Point is seeking a qualified consulting firm to perform a Preliminary Assessment (PA) for a former service‑station site (991 Mays Landing Rd.) under New Jersey DEP guidelines. The firm must review historic records, conduct a site walk‑through, identify Areas of Concern, and deliver a PA report compliant with NJAC 7:26E‑3.1 within 30 days of receiving a Notice to Proceed. Compensation is capped at $4,000 and billed on a time‑and‑material basis; additional investigative work may be scoped later. The contract runs the calendar year 2026, and the City may award multiple consultants based on a “most advantageous” evaluation.
• Conduct historic data review (Sanborn maps, aerial photos, title records, NJDEP GIS, etc.)
• Perform site inspection, identify Areas of Concern, and produce a compliant PA report with graphics
• Provide a compensation proposal (hourly rates) and maintain required insurance; optional follow‑up investigations may be added later.
