Description
South Carolina Commission for the Blind seeks a qualified vendor to deliver virtual assistive‑technology training for blind and visually‑impaired consumers. The contractor must provide certified instruction on JAWS, ZoomText, Windows, Microsoft Office, G Suite, and iPhone/iPad VoiceOver, meeting minimum weekly hour requirements and capped total hours per software area. Instructors must be JAWS and ZoomText certified, submit weekly progress reports, and handle any pre‑approved on‑site sessions with mileage reimbursement. The contract is fixed‑price, with a maximum five‑year term (one‑year base plus four renewal options).
• Provide at least 6 hours/week of virtual training across listed software platforms.
• Deliver up to 120 hrs of software training, 80 hrs of iDevice training, and 180 hrs of extensive admin training (subject to approval).
• Submit weekly consumer reports and a final competency report; on‑site travel reimbursed at $1.00 per mile when required.
• Must hold current JAWS and ZoomText certifications, pass a national background check, and comply with drug‑free workplace and insurance requirements.
