Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 10, Chillicothe VAMC, intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source for the purchase of GenMark ePlex Reagents. The vendor will be Roche Diagnostics Corp. The Chillicothe VAMC Lab utilizes the GenMark ePlex reagent kits with existing GenMark ePlex instruments. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated and shall be awarded. The key aspects of this opportunity include:
• The purchase of 252 GenMark ePlex Repiratory Pathogen Panel 2 reagent kits
• The use of Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.103-1, Only One Responsible Source for Reagents
• The intention to negotiate with only one source, Roche Diagnostics Corp
• The requirement for responses to show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government
