Hydro-Excavation Services

The City of Farmington is requesting quotes for hydro-excavation services, including supervision, equipment, operation, and clean-up. The services will be provided on an as-needed basis. The contractor must have experience in hydro-excavation and must meet specific equipment and job procedure standards. The contractor will be responsible for clean-up and removal of all debris at the time of service for each excavation project. • The hydro-excavation equipment must be specifically designed for non-destructive excavating around buried infrastructure. • The equipment must be capable of excavating holes up to 12 feet deep and have a rock catcher. • The contractor must conduct operations in a manner that minimizes interference with the normal use of property adjacent to the construction work. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and orders of any public body having jurisdiction for the safety of persons or property. • The contractor must provide a safety plan and follow safety guidelines. • The contractor must have competent and qualified workers operating the equipment. • The contractor must use vacuum-excavation equipment and pressure wand nozzles that have been specifically designed for use above buried gas lines or other reasonably expected underground gas facilities.
