Transport of Liquid Biosolids

The County of Volusia is seeking a contractor to provide routine pick-up of liquid biosolids from eight county-owned wastewater treatment plants and transport/transfer to the County's Southwest Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility for dewatering purposes. The contractor will also provide "on-demand" services as required. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and vehicles necessary for pick-up, transport, and transfer of liquid biosolids in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Some key points to consider: * The contractor must be able to respond within 24 hours of receiving notification for pick-up and transport. * The contractor must be able to provide proof of local business presence if required. * The contractor must be able to provide references for similar projects. * The contractor must be able to provide a price redetermination for fuel and wages. * The contract will be for an initial term of one year with the option for four subsequent one-year renewals.
