American Center Kampala Management and Programming

The U.S. Department of State’s Embassy Uganda announces an open competition for management and operations of the American Center Kampala. This award will support a comprehensive program advancing U.S. priorities in Uganda through cultural and educational exchange by providing a strategic public platform where Ugandans can access information, participate in programs, and engage directly with American ideas and values. The selected organization will manage all aspects of the American Center's daily operations, including facility management, security coordination, staff supervision, and visitor services. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing dynamic public programming that promotes mutual understanding between the United States and Uganda • Maintaining a welcoming, clean, accessible hub that provides information about American culture, values, and educational opportunities • Building strong partnerships with local institutions, demonstrating effective resource management, establishing robust monitoring and evaluation systems, and employing innovative approaches to audience engagement
