Professional Design and Construction Administration Services for Furr Family Park and Bartlett Property

The County of Cobb is seeking a design firm to provide professional design and construction administration services for the development of two new passive parks, Furr Family Park and the Bartlett Property. The selected firm will be responsible for preparing complete construction plans and specifications, obtaining necessary permits, and providing construction administration services. The project includes the design and construction of various park features such as trails, picnic pavilions, fishing decks, and boardwalks. The firm will work closely with County staff and the Program Manager to ensure the project is completed within the established budget and meets the needs of the community. Some key features of the project include: • Restrooms/maintenance building and pavilion design • Access/maintenance roads • Accel/decel lanes • Parking improvements • Boardwalk/pedestrian bridge/fishing pier design and permitting • Concrete/pervious concrete/slate, and soft trail design • Playground design • Pond improvements • Fencing as needed The County anticipates that the construction of the improvements will begin in early 2027 and will be funded by the 2022 SPLOST.
