Liquid Oxygen (LOX)

The City of Newport News is seeking bids from qualified firms to furnish Liquid Oxygen (LOX) on an as-needed basis. The contract will be for a term of one year with the option to renew for four additional one-year periods. The City requires a minimum of 99.5% pure LOX, meeting or exceeding Grade "B" of the Compressed Gas Association (CGA) Commodity Specifications G-4-3 and subsequent revisions. The Contractor shall ensure the product is contamination-free and delivered in clean containers/tanks. • The City will issue a Blanket Purchase Order, and the Contractor shall provide goods or services on an as-requested basis. • The Contractor shall maintain adequate liability insurance and provide proof of insurance prior to commencement of services. • The City reserves the right to reject any delivery that has been contaminated or does not conform to the specifications. • The Contractor shall provide a complete set of Safety Data Sheets with the bid. • The City encourages small, women-owned, minority-owned, and service disabled veteran-owned businesses to participate in the City's procurement activities.
