Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the El Paso County Animal Shelter

The El Paso County is seeking a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the El Paso County Animal Shelter project. The project involves the construction of a new animal shelter with approximately 35,000-40,000 square feet, including new surface parking, public areas, administrative offices, animal holding areas, and treatment rooms. The CMAR will be responsible for providing comprehensive CMAR services throughout all design and construction phases of the project. The selection process will be based on the evaluation of proposals, and the contract will be awarded to the firm that provides the best value to the County. • The project scope includes construction management at risk services, pre-construction services, and construction services. • The CMAR will be responsible for developing a master construction schedule, updating the critical path schedule, and providing recommendations on constructability, availability of materials, and cost of alternative designs or materials. • The CMAR will also be responsible for managing construction contingency, identifying materials for pre-purchase, and making recommendations on schedule and costs. • The project has a construction budget of $20,000,000 - $25,000,000 and is expected to be completed in 18 months.
