DRAWINGS 1 – WPC INFLUENT STRUCTURE & BATTERY A GRIT REHAB

The City of Flint Water Pollution Control is preparing to rehabilitate its Influent Structure and Battery A Grit Facility. The scope covers demolition of existing concrete and metal components, extensive concrete repair and geopolymer coating, installation of new structural steel reinforcement, construction of temporary and permanent bulkheads, placement of bypass pumps capable of handling at least 40 MGD, and the integration of new slide‑gate assemblies with electric actuators. The project also includes pipe coating, flow‑meter installation, and compliance with multiple civil and structural codes. • Demolition of existing weir plates, overflow troughs, and masonry, followed by concrete removal and replacement. • Application of Sika geopolymer liner (≥ 1½″ thick) and concrete repair mortars, with hydrophilic waterstops at joints. • Installation of new reinforcing steel (ASTM A615 Grade 60) and stainless‑steel anchor bolts, plus structural steel per AISC/ANSI standards. • Construction of temporary bulkheads, permanent CMU bulkheads, and bypass pumping systems to maintain ≥ 40 MGD flow. • Fit‑out of slide‑gate assemblies (5′×5′ & 6′×6′) with Rotork electric actuators, new flow meters, and associated mechanical/electrical work.
