Description
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is conducting market research to identify potential sources of commercial products/services that satisfy the Government’s anticipated needs for Metrology-grade Chilled Mirror Dew Point Hygrometers. The primary motivation of this acquisition is to improve and monitor the uncertainty contribution inherent from the laboratory environmental conditions within NIST's top-tier mass calibrations and their subsequent contribution to the stated calibration uncertainty officially reported by NIST Mass and Force Group.
Some key requirements for the hygrometers include:
• Must be a benchtop chilled-mirror hygrometer capable of internal calculation of % relative humidity with an external temperature probe of proven design and capability.
• Must be capable of measuring a standard dew point range of -60°C ≤ T ≤ 20°C.
• Must have a standard % Relative humidity range of 0.1% ≤ %RH ≤ 100% with an accompanied temperature range of -100°C ≤ T ≤ 100°C.
• Must have a frost/dew point accuracy of +/-0.1 °C.
• Must have a temperature accuracy of +/-0.07 °C.
Respondents are asked to provide information about their company, the equipment they sell, and its technical specifications, as well as any other relevant information that may be valuable for NIST to know as part of its market research for this requirement.
