The United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) is seeking a qualified and experienced contractor to provide labor, parts, material, transportation, tools, equipment, and supervision to provide plumbing services, specifically to repair or replace several double check valves and R.P.Z's for the water mains on campus. The contractor will be responsible for performing the repairs and replacements, and the government will evaluate offers based on cost as the lowest price, technically acceptable (LPTA). The project is expected to last for 15 days, from July 15, 2026, to July 30, 2026.
• The contractor must have an active registration with the federal SAM system to receive an award.
• The contractor must provide clear photographs of each of the five backflow assemblies, including the complete assembly, manufacturer nameplate, adjoining piping, shutoff valves, test ports, and surrounding working area.
• The contractor must perform post-repair testing to ensure the backflow device passes and is working properly.
• The contractor must include the cost of replacement in the original firm-fixed price if a unit identified for repair cannot be made to pass through repair and requires complete replacement.
