The Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) is seeking proposals from companies interested in providing three phase network transformers for use in EWEB's secondary grid network system. The contractor shall provide all transformers in strict accordance with the contract specifications. The transformers shall be new, unused, and of current production model. The contract will be for a period of one year, with options for up to four additional years. The proposal shall include a cover letter, proposal form, and all required attachments.
• The transformers shall be three phase, fluid filled, self-cooled, vault type submersible secondary network transformers.
• The high voltage rating shall be 12,000 volts delta for use on a 12,470 GRD Y/7200 volts electrical system.
• The low voltage rating shall be 216Y/125 volts or 480Y/277 volts.
• The KVA rating shall be 500 or 750 KVA.
• The transformer shall be designed for continuous operation at 65°C average winding rise above 30°C ambient and for 112% of nominal rating or an 80°C hot spot temperature rise.
• The top fluid temperature shall not exceed 65°C rise above a 30°C ambient temperature.
• The transformer shall be provided with a primary voltage tap changer and a primary voltage switch.
• The transformer shall be filled with natural ester-based fluid that meets the minimum acceptance testing requirements described in the latest edition of IEEE C57.147 Guide for Acceptance and Maintenance of Natural Ester Fluids in Transformers.
• The transformer shall be provided with a warranty period of eighteen months, minimum, after the date of acceptance.
