Design Services for Orlando Flood Mitigation by Drainwell Replacement (Block Grant)

The City of Orlando is seeking a consultant to provide professional engineering services for the design and replacement of 13 drainage wells in low-to-moderate income urbanized areas. The consultant will be responsible for conducting a conditions assessment, developing a conceptual design, and creating construction plans and specifications. The project is funded through the Orange County Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program and is subject to federal regulations. Key aspects of the project include: * Conducting a subsurface utility survey and identifying potential well locations * Preparing a well inventory and justification letter for submission to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) * Developing a conceptual design and preliminary plans for the abandonment and relocation or repair of existing drainwells * Coordinating with FDEP and other stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals * Providing construction phase engineering services, including shop drawing review and approval, and responding to requests for information or modifications
