Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking vendors to provide Leica Automated Coverslipper Machines or equal products that meet specific salient characteristics. The machines must be able to process a minimum of 250 slides per hour, work with coverslips in various sizes, and have adjustable mounting media volume. The contract will be for a base period of 12 months with four 12-month option periods. The key requirements for the machines include:
• Throughput: minimum 250 slides/hour, glass
• Works with coverslips in various sizes
• Allows for adjustment of mounting media volume
• Able to utilize xylene
• Fume extraction via activated carbon filter
• Benchtop unit
• Able to operate on 115 VAC 60 Hz
Vendors may quote any product solution or configuration that meets the salient characteristics, and may also quote additional ancillary products that are essential to the functionality of the proposed solution.
