Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Journal of Infectious Diseases, to publish Supplemental Issue.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD and TB Prevention Division of Viral Hepatitis intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price purchase order to Oxford University Press to publish a supplemental issue on “Advancing same-day diagnosis and viral-first testing to accelerate hepatitis C elimination in the United States.” The issue will contain up to 110 pages containing a combination of editorials and review articles as per the journal’s instructions for authors. All articles that pass editorial and peer review process will be published together as a part of the issue. • The contract action is for commercial services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). • Oxford University Press is the only source that can provide a platform for supplemental publication with the reputation, visibility, circulation, and timeline for publication. • The government is seeking a publisher for a supplemental issue of the Journal of Infectious Diseases. • The issue will focus on advancing same-day diagnosis and viral-first testing to accelerate hepatitis C elimination in the United States.
