A&E and Related Services - Washington County Active Transportation Plan Elements of the Transportation System Plan

The goal of this project is to update the Active Transportation section of Washington County's Transportation System Plan, including revising modal plans, networks, and strategies to support safe and accessible pedestrian and bicycle travel. The selected proposer will provide A&E and related services, including planning services experience relevant to the project. The expected outcome is a final set of deliverables to be incorporated into the County's updates to the Transportation System Plan and Road Design and Construction Standards. Key tasks include revising modal plans, consolidating bike/ped facility design guidance documents, clarifying protected bicycle and trail design options, and developing a maintenance strategy. • Update the Active Transportation section of the Transportation System Plan • Revise modal plans, networks, and strategies to support safe and accessible pedestrian and bicycle travel • Consolidate existing bike/ped facility design guidance documents • Clarify protected bicycle and trail design options for adoption into County standards • Develop a maintenance strategy to better account for lifecycle cost and clarify staff and equipment needs
