Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 22 Long Beach intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Single Source contract to AKTINA Medical for the replacement and upgrade of existing Active Breathing Coordinator (ABC) equipment, as well as the sustainment of streamlined procedures. The ABC equipment is used in the Radiation Oncology department to minimize tumor movement and aid in accuracy and ability to treat the tumor, improving the precision and effectiveness of radiation therapy.
• The contract is for a single source basis, with AKTINA Medical being the designer and sole manufacturer of the ABC equipment.
