Woodward Road Dry Hydrant Project

The Town of Mendon is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the installation of a new dry hydrant system on Woodward Road. The project involves the excavation and removal of the current dry hydrant system and the installation of a new system. The required materials for the project include 6” Female NH Adapter w/ 90-degree elbow, 40’ of 6” Schedule 80 PVC pipe, 8” x 6” Schedule 40 PVC Reducer Bushing, and more. The project must be completed by October 2nd, 2026. * The project is located on Woodward Road in Mendon, VT. * The current dry hydrant system has been tested and found to be ineffectual. * The new system will be designed by Troy Dare. * The project requires traffic control in accordance with the 2009 MUTCD. * The road must maintain access during construction. * Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to submit a bid. * Three references are required with demonstrated experience with like projects.
