Standby Generator – Agri Education Center

The DeSoto County Board of Supervisors is seeking bids for the installation of a standby generator at the Agri Education Center. The project requires a lump sum base bid with any alternates and/or unit costs requested. A pre-bid conference will be held on December 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM on site, and interested bidders will be able to visit the project site immediately following the conference. The bid documents, including plans and specifications, can be viewed or downloaded from the DeSoto County Procurement website. The bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or cash in the amount of 5% of the base bid. Some key points to consider: • The bid must comply with the plans and specifications provided. • The bidder must have a Certificate of Responsibility from the State Board of Public Contracts if the bid exceeds $50,000. • Out-of-state bidders must provide a copy of their state's preference law if the bid exceeds $50,000. • Performance and payment bonds will be required from the successful bidder. • The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informalities.
