Government Relations Services

Houston City College is seeking a qualified firm to provide government relations services. The selected firm will be responsible for providing comprehensive government relations services, including legislative monitoring, analysis, and reporting, as well as strategic advisory services to support the college's legislative priorities and institutional initiatives. The firm will also be required to develop legislative strategies, policy recommendations, and briefing materials for college leadership and the Board of Trustees. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing government relations services, including legislative monitoring and strategic advisory services • Developing legislative strategies and policy recommendations • Analyzing the operational, financial, and policy impacts of legislative proposals • Informing and educating HCC priorities before legislative members and leadership • Providing regular reporting and communication, including written status reports and legislative updates • Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding all college-related matters and avoiding conflicts of interest.
