Construction of Eastside Bus Transfer Facility

The City of Gainesville is seeking a qualified construction firm to construct the new Eastside Bus Transfer Facility. The project consists of constructing a bus transfer facility, and the contractor will be responsible for completing the work in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. The contractor must have experience in constructing office, industrial, or FTA transit-related projects and must provide three references from projects performed within the past five years. The contractor must also meet the minimum qualifications set forth in the ITB, including having been in business for five years and having experience in construction work of the same or similar type. • The project requires a general contractor license. • The contractor must provide a bid bond for 5% of the bid amount. • The contractor must provide insurance, including general liability, workers' compensation, and umbrella/excess liability. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, including those related to hours of labor, licensing, and environmental protection. • The contractor must provide a certification regarding debarment and lobbying activities. • The contractor must provide a drug-free workplace certification. • The contractor must comply with the City's anti-discrimination policy.
