Service of Process

The County of Los Angeles Child Support Services Department is soliciting proposals from qualified businesses to provide Service of Process services. The selected contractor will be responsible for serving documents, including subpoenas, citations, and orders to show cause, as well as providing proof of service and testimony. The contractor must have verifiable experience in Service of Process and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to renew for additional years. The contractor will be required to provide monthly reports and to attend meetings with the County. • The contractor must become an electronic filing recipient using the State Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) Portal for electronic delivery of service tickets and documents. • The contractor must pick up documents to be served at a time agreed upon by CSSD and Contractor from one or more locations or an alternate location designated by CSSD. • The contractor must provide a secured website where service requests can be tracked for status, completion, and cancellation by CSSD staff. • The contractor must comply with the Living Wage Ordinance and provide Living Wage Payroll Reports, Statement of Compliance, and Staffing Plan. • The contractor must maintain confidentiality of all information received from CSSD and must sign the "Contractor Acknowledgment and Confidentiality Agreement".
