Financial Services, Real Property Title

The City of St. Petersburg is seeking proposals from qualified title and escrow service companies to provide real property title services. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing title documents and services, including title reports, title commitments, title insurance policies, escrow, closing, and related services for real property transactions. The scope of work includes providing closing services, preparing HUD-1 Settlement Statements, obtaining required documents to clear title, recording documents with Pinellas County's Clerk of Circuit Court, and providing Notary Service at no additional cost. The vendor will also be required to provide a dedicated account manager and notify the City of any changes in account manager or other vendor contact information. • The initial term of the agreement will be three years from the date of contract execution with one two-year renewal period by mutual agreement of the parties. • The vendor will be required to provide real estate closings, including preparation and execution of approved documents according to closing instructions. • The vendor will be required to comply with Florida Statute §448.095 pertaining to required use of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify system. • The vendor will be required to provide insurance coverage, including commercial general liability, commercial automobile liability, workers' compensation, and errors & omissions/professional liability insurance. • The vendor will be required to provide a fidelity bond/crime insurance with a minimum limit of $500,000.
