Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Alaska VA Medical Center, Pharmacy department, is seeking capable vendors to provide insulated shipping boxes and ice packs for the safe and efficient transport of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals. The estimated period of performance is 5 years, from 10/01/2026 to 09/30/2031. The supplier shall provide completely assembled insulated shipping containers and packs, meeting applicable standards for quality, safety, and shipping. The shippers shall be lightweight, reusable, and include foam container and shipping box, maintaining a temperature range of 2°C to 8°C for up to 72 hours.
Key requirements include:
• Providing support services, such as responding to requests for shippers and/or ice packs within 12 hours
• Delivering requested boxes and/or ice packs within 36 hours of request, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays
• Notifying AVAHS Pharmacy and Supply Chain Management of any delivery problems or discrepancies within 12 hours
• Meeting applicable standards for quality, safety, and shipping for sensitive items such as pharmaceuticals and vaccines
